Inventory Control Supervisor

HOW YOU WILL CONTRIBUTE:
Responsible for supervising the Inventory Control teams to ensure optimum inventory management and efficiency. Assists with inventory planning and control, materials management, shipping and receiving, and inventory processing. Supplies production, installation, and fabrication departments with parts and equipment in an accurate and efficient manner to ensure maximum shop floor productivity. Fulfills internal and external customer parts orders. Collaborates with other functional teams to optimize inventory capabilities.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Leads the inventory team at the branch level
• Administer and maintain parts inventory for assigned locations.
• Implement's S.O.P.'s and provides training for team members.
• Approves team schedules.
• Conducts annual performance reviews.
• Oversees physical inventory and coordinates with Inventory Control Manager and Accounting Department.
• Conducts routine cycle counts.
• Maintains a safe, clean and organized work environment.
• Manage/complete kitting for all jobs based on weekly shop schedule.
• Analyze and resolve all parts issues and monitor all requests for parts from all branch locations.
• Maintain adequate inventory levels of all parts and tools based upon work order requirements.
• Manage all warranty parts returns from customer and processes all receipts and invoices.
• Provide exceptional internal and external customer service.

EDUCATION & WORK EXPERIENCE:

• Minimum of High School Diploma or work experience equivalent required. Associates degree desired.
• Minimum of 3+ years in a leadership position.
• Experience in truck equipment or automotive industry Inventory Control, parts sales and service, with exposure to shop floor processes is preferred.
• Experience working in a team environment.

KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:

• Organizational, detail, and follow-up skills
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal communication and a strong team player
• Should be able to multi-task
• Inventory management knowledge preferred
• Must have basic knowledge of truck equipment industry and/or automotive related terms, applications, and information
• Ability to operate a forklift, and order picker
• Moderate experience using Windows based programs including Excel, Word, and Outlook

PHYSICAL & MENTAL ENVIRONMENT:

• This job alternates between an office and shop floor.
• While on the shop floor, employee will be exposed to moving equipment, fumes, loud noise, and fluctuating temperatures.
