Inventory Control Specialist
Orlando, Florida, USA (Onsite)
Position Summary
Thales is seeking an Inventory Control Specialist. In this role, you will perform physical and administrative tasks involved in Inventory Control department. You will also have responsibility to examine material to ensure the physical count matches the report quantity, and prepare records of items processed internally and externally. Will conduct cycle counts, wall-to-wall and remote site count to ensure inventory is accurate.
Key Areas of Responsibility
Analyze SAP data in support of Distribution Operations Process shipments, validate inventory movements, and make recommendations to management on optimal processing methods
Ensuring inventory accuracy and integrity are upheld
Development of continuous process improvement plans and initiatives
Maintain operational plans to support customer shipments and production needs (will involve working Saturdays and some Sundays)
Maintain and promote a safe work environment for all employees
Create, maintain and enhance reports and KPIs for the department
Minimum Qualifications
Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or two to five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business workflows related to a warehouse distribution center, finance and inventory management
Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and other communications related to the warehouse distribution center, finance and inventory management
Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the public.
SAP or other ERP system experience
Proficiency with MS Excel (V-lookup, pivot tables, etc.)
Special Position Requirements
Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds
