Summary:
The Inventory Control & Dock Coordinator is responsible for recording and monitoring incoming food donations on an accurate and timely basis. Reconciles inventory issues, processes receipting and kitting and audits product and picks. Provides excellent customer service to clients and vendors.
Duties:
- Answer bell and accept donation at East warehouse dock
- Process commercial donations according to applicable procedures
- Provide receipt and thank you for individual donors; receipt could include weight
- Sort donated product into totes
- Identify, label and receive products into CERES inventory system; enter donations and Grocery Rescue items
- Monitor Feeding America and USDA donations and coordinate acceptance, pickup and receipts as required
- Assist in documenting procedures and research/resolve inventory problems
- Work with Community Engagement Coordinator for coordination of food drive pick ups
- Participate in major food drives/events
- Maintain Grocery Rescue and Inventory paperwork, as assigned
- Preform standard orders, Repack, Food Drive and Salvage product verification and reconciliation
- Assist in quarterly physical inventory counts
- Cross train on inventory agency picks and orders
- Process TEFAP receipting in the WBSCM system
- Organize milk crates by vendor
- Clean barrels as the return
- Keep mezzanine organized and clean
- Process Commercial receipting; via fax to verify receiving, quantities and date to commercial donors
- Forklift/scissor lift certified
- Coordinate dock times for delivered donations with donor dispatchers
- Assist with filing and other clerical tasks as workload permits
- Other duties as assigned
- Excellent customer service and organizational skills
- Associates degree OR three years’ work experience in inventory or asset tracking
- Familiar with Microsoft Windows and Office and with standard office equipment
- Ability to work independently, exercising judgment and initiative and to multi-task as needed
- Ability to work accurately and remain calm and focused under deadlines
- Ability to work and communicate effectively in a professional, courteous manner with staff, volunteers and donors
- Must be detail-oriented and accurate in all job duties

- High standards of professional ethics and conduct
Physical Requirements:
This position functions in an office and warehouse environment. It requires use of standard office equipment and also operation of pallet jack (manual and power). Approximately 20% of the time the employee may sit comfortably to do the work. Approximately 80% of the time will be spent walking, standing, crouching, bending and operating warehouse machinery in the warehouse. Lifting up to 50 pounds is required on a regular basis. During peak seasons, all UFB staff may be asked to assist with receiving donations, picking up donations or other customer service work outside the normal scope of duties.
