Inventory Control Specialist:
HK Parts is a locally owned company that specializes in the distribution of firearm parts & accessories. We are seeking a long-term team member to grow with us. Schedule: Mon-Friday 7am-4pm or 8am-5pm (full-time 40 hours per week). Flexible schedules and Saturday work hours are also available.
This is a new position within our company that will be integral to our future growth. The role requires a working understanding of inventory management basics and inventory management software. This position will be responsible for implementing a new inventory management system and training employees to properly interface with the new system. This hire will be solely responsible for all aspects of inventory management going forward. We are looking for an individual that embraces responsibility, relishes in a challenge, and enjoys accuracy and detail. Duties and Responsibilities:
· Learn all aspects of new inventory management system
· Train employees how to properly interface with new IMS
· Assist in the re-organization of the warehouse to optimize picking efficiency
· Maintain all aspects of IMS and constantly ensure data accuracy
· Create IMS SOP’s for other employees to follow
· Accurately enter incoming inventory items into inventory management software
· Confirm cost, attributes, and inventory levels when receiving
· Maintain bin levels for shipping department
· Organize products in stock locations
· Perform cycle counts of inventory and investigate discrepancies
· Must be able to be active for 8 hours (sitting, standing, walking, reaching, motion)
· Maintain cleanliness and safety of aisles and other areas of facility
· Perform other duties and/or responsibilities as assigned
Education & Qualifications: Experience in inventory management systems and/or extensive experience with enterprise level software. A firm grasp on complex software systems is an absolute must.
Skills and Specifications:
- Advanced computer skills
- Good organizational and time management skills
- Ability to work with minimal to zero supervision
- Ability to properly read and understand part numbers and UoM’s on documents, products, cartons, etc.
- Must have attention to detail and be able to follow directions
Must be drug and drama free. A drug and security background check will be required for employment.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 - $30.00 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
