POSITION SUMMARY
Coordinate the accurate counting of all work in process and finished goods inventories.
POSITION DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Conduct work in process and finished goods inventory cycle counts two times per week, unless otherwise directed
- Enter the results of cycle counts in database
- Assist with monthly cycle counts
- Assist Production Control Coordinator with planning of physical inventory dates and activities
- Coordinate with Production Management to ensure necessary labor availability for physical inventory activities
- Conduct a physical inventory 2 times per year
- Serve as a back up to the Production Control Coordinator when needed
- Other duties as assigned
SAFETY
- Follow General Plant Safety Rules as defined in JA-HR-C-010
KNOWLEDGE/EXPERIENCE/SKILLS
High School diploma or equivalent. Computer software required: Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word). Effective communications skills, both verbal and written. The ability for work without direct supervision.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
Work environment involves moderate risks or discomforts which require special safety precautions (e.g., working around moving machines in production facilities) and protective clothing or gear such as safety glasses, gloves and safety shoes is required.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Work requires some physical strain such as standing and walking in production facility, and lifting of moderately heavy items weighing up to 50 lbs on an intermittent basis.
