POSITION DETAILS
Position Summary
A Material Handler plays a critical role in the backend operations of our business, ensuring that the stock room is well-organized and that inventory is managed effectively
Picks/pulls materials from stock using computerized manufacturing work orders and pick lists.
Principal Activities
- Prepares, stages and delivers materials to the manufacturing floor and shipping.
- Sorts and places materials on racks, shelves, or in bins according to the prime location and space available criteria.
- Prepares, directly for customer use, spare parts and rebuilding kits.
- Receive and unload purchased component items and compare information on packing slips with purchase orders to verify the accuracy of the shipment. Put away all inbound materials
- Accurately process work order transactions, including entries into the inventory management system, JDE.
- Maintain accurate inventory records on all raw materials; process all required paperwork pertaining to materials.
- Utilizes Vantage to a degree of proficiency necessary to investigate and resolve manufacturing work order/production part discrepancies, inventory reconciliation, incoming inventory, and finished goods product allocations and shipments to customers.
- Perform regular stock checks or cycle counts to ensure inventory accuracy.
- Operate forklift to load and unload trucks as well as move materials
- May be cross-trained in shipping function to assist shipping personnel as needed
- Perform other duties as necessary
Requirements
CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS
Knowledge Skills & Abilities
- Forklift experience a plus
- Familiarity with inventory management software or database systems. JDE preferred.
- Attention to detail is critical. High level of accuracy in recording and managing inventory.
- Must work with sense of urgency. Ability to effectively manage time and prioritize tasks.
- Effective communication and problem-solving skills. Ability to identify issues and find effective solutions.
- Must have excellent verbal communication skills
- Able to work collaboratively with others in a fast-paced environment
- Must be able to lift 25 lbs on a frequent basis and be able to work standing and walking most of the day
Education & Experience
- High School diploma or equivalent
- +1 year previous experience in stock, warehouse or inventory management
- Must have good reading skills and basic math skills

PAY RANGE: $20.00 - $23.00 per hour
Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience
