Reports to: Warehouse Manager
Position Objective:
The Inventory Clerk is responsible for all interactions of the physical inventory and settlement process.
Responsibilities Include:
Must report to work on time and clock in and out properly.
- Must understand the functions of Location Based Inventory and how they affect the warehouse.
- Properly and accurately key in receipts and transfers as they arrive from the warehouse crew when product is received in or out.
- Process salesman hotshots, swap tickets and comps. Track swap tickets so no salesman has more than 2 swaps out at a time and follow up on open hot shot tickets.
- Notify any person with an unsettled hotshot by 12 noon the day after the hotshot was processed. 24 hour hot shot policy enforcement.
- Maintain weekly communication with all company warehouses.
- Schedule all in bound loads and identify “Hot Loads” for the trucking companies and the various Warehouse Managers to limit OOS and also adhere to delivery appointment schedule.
- Process all RTO forms for comp product using the ticket system and track on a monthly basis.
- Key all incoming purchase orders into the RAS for various suppliers.
- Verify all transfers for the company.
- Key all inventory transactions for the company.
- Assist warehouse manager with any special assignments.
- Communicate thoroughly and effectively with delivery and warehouse managers.
- Report any accidents to a supervisor.
- Maintain open and clear communications with the owners, managers, and other employees of the company.
- Maintain open and clear communications with the vendors and retailers that do business with the company.
- Obtain from your Manager approval prior to working in excess of your regular schedule.
- Dress in uniform and maintain your personal appearance in a professional manner and according to company policy.
- Conduct all your activities within the guidelines of all company policies and procedures.
- Conduct all of your activities in accordance to the local, state and federal liquor control regulations.
- Perform all work activities in accordance to the safe work practices, policies and procedures.
- Adhere to all established inventory control procedures and practices.
- All other duties as assigned
Required Skill Sets:
Possess a thorough computer knowledge of the RAS system as it relates to properly keying inventory.
- Ability to process the settlement of routes and alert management to errors or problems associated with settlement. Collecting and accounting for the sale.
- Strong planning and follow up skills checking for mistakes on a daily basis.
- Strong computer skills to include Microsoft office and VIP.
- Strong Problem Solving Skills
- Ability to say “NO” and enforce company policy and procedure.
- Effective Utilization of Company Information Systems
- Notify warehouse manager and other warehouses/suppliers of any complications with a receipt or transfer.
- Ability to Work Cohesively Across Multiple Departments within the Company.
- Communication with Managers is a critical job component.
- Accurate in keying a large amount of work into RAS system on a daily basis.
- Understanding of how keying affects inventory, and ability to follow up on request from Warehouse Manager to track inventory errors due to keying issues.
