JOB SUMMARY: Intern supports survey administration, data gathering, data entry, data analysis and survey location proctoring, verbatim comment coding and summary writing; qualitative and quantitative analysis. Intern may provide administrative and analytical support for other HR/OD processes requiring presentations of data/information and maintenance of systems/processes (e.g., life cycle surveys, performance management, team effectiveness sessions, focus groups, etc.). Intern provides exemplary guest service by assisting and satisfying guest's/internal client's needs. In this role, Interns will learn practical application of OD/I/O interventions in a large-scale company.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Proctors survey administration locations (e.g., greeting Team Members, checking in/participation tracking, assisting with survey set up, checking out, location set up/breakdown/materials preparation); at times, acting "Lead" at location with direct liaison to OD management team.
- Supports core OD team with results and report quality checks and supports with providing responses to clients on major process questions, including utilizing online systems for producing reports, researching questions, and referencing data.
- Works with engagement survey verbatim comments by categorizing and coding, setting up calibration meetings, summary reports, and sentiment debrief presentations to division leaders.
- Participates in individual analysis work at desk, intern cohort and leadership calibration discussions, team meetings, and OD department development sessions.
- Understands and actively participates in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following established UO policy, procedures, training, and Team Member involvement activities.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION:
- In pursuit of an Associate, Bachelor or Graduate degree at an Accredited Institution with current class standing of Junior or above.
- Recent graduates will not be eligible for this program.
- Minimum cumulative 2.8 GPA is required.
- An official transcript may be required upon request.
- Preferred majors include: Industrial Organizational Psychology, Organizational Development, Psychology, Communications.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
Preferable skills for success in role include but not limited to:
- Skills in analytical and critical thinking, strong written communication, and summarization (relevant to reading and categorizing comments according to codes/themes) required.
- Organizational skills relevant to data scanning, sorting, and organization of data and comment forms, and able to summarize/synthesize large amounts of qualitative information required.
- Strong guest service orientation required.
- Comfort with navigating in systems and following processes required.
- Must be efficient in Microsoft Office Programs including, but not limited to: Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Strong interpersonal skills, problem-solving abilities and organization.
- Exceptional attention to detail.
- Superior written & verbal communication skills.
- Work in a fast-paced environment and adhere to deadlines.
- Ability to work autonomously and/or in teams.
- Consistent attendance.

- This internship will be a hybrid experience, based in our Orlando offices.
- Interns must be currently pursuing a degree at an accredited university, and must have a graduation date later than August 2024 or December 2024 to participate in the Summer 2024 or Fall 2024 semester, respectively.
- Universal Orlando does not provide housing. Interns are responsible for their own housing and transportation.
