As a Summer Intern in Inventory, you will have the opportunity to gain valuable hands-on experience in the world of finance and accounting. You will work closely with our experienced inventory accountants to support various aspects of inventory valuation, management and financial reporting.
Assist financial accounting activities and month-end financial close for US inventory companies as necessary. This includes daily processing, transaction analysis, month end closing, account reconciliation, management analyses, audit support, and documentation.
Assist with accounting issues surrounding physical inventories including coordination, schedule preparation, reconciliations and documentation.
Assist in the calculation of inventory valuations using various methods, such as FIFO, standard cost or weighted average, and ensure compliance with accounting standards.
Identify opportunities for process improvements in Inventory Accounting and work with the team to implement enhancements.
Qualifications:
• Current enrollment in a Bachelor's or Master's degree program in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other office software.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks.
Dates: Internship duration is June 3 - August 9, 2024. Candidates are asked to be available to work for the entire 10-week program.
Location: This positions is in-person at our Corporate Office in Parsippany, NJ.
Salary: Compensation for this position is $25 per hour working a total of 40 hours per week.
