The primary purpose of this position is to monitor security measures for the protection of computer networks and information. This position will assure that information created, acquired, or maintained by Pioneer will be used in accordance with its intended purpose, to protect Pioneer information and its infrastructure from external or internal threats; and assure the company complies with statutory and regulatory requirements regarding information access, security, and privacy.
Essential Job Functions:
- Utilizes Incident Reporting and Response System to investigate security breaches, policy violations, complaints, and assists in security awareness training tasks.
- Stays abreast of relevant security threats, advisories, alerts, and vulnerabilities.
- Maintains vulnerability information on all Pioneer systems and coordinates remediation with responsible departments.
- Ensures authorized access by maintaining documentation on user accounts and permissions in various systems; investigating improper access; revoking access; reporting violations; recommending improvements.
- Recommends updates to Pioneer's information security policies, standards, and procedures.
- Exemplifies dependability standards through adherence to timelines and schedules.
- Develops and maintains positive working relationships within the department and other departments.
- Commits to performing job tasks in a manner that ensures a safe work environment.
- Promote Operation IDEA initiatives, encourage and support continual process improvement and cultivate an environment where employees are actively engaged in creating positive and memorable customer experiences.
- Willingly and cooperatively performs other related duties as assigned by management.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Completed one year in a relevant full-time Career Tech Program or be entering or completing Junior or Senior year of college majoring in a related field.
- Excellent critical thinking, problem solving and resolution skills.
- Ability to prioritize, organize and work on multiple projects.
- Knowledge and understanding of company products/services, policies, and procedures.
- Verbal, written, and listening communication skills.
- Proficient in operating a personal computer and software applications pertaining to job function.
- Ability to read and interpret various formats of English language instruction.
- Ability to maintain strict confidentiality guidelines in accordance with company policy.
- Able and willing to continue business skill development by attending training away from home.
Physical Requirements:
- Sitting or standing for extended periods, walking, finger dexterity, feeling, repetitive motions, talking, hearing and visual acuity including close vision.
- Ability to lift up to 20lbs.
- May be required occasionally to stoop, kneel, or bend.
