AI and Digital Applications Development - Intern
Position Summary
This is an on-site position located in Irvine, California.
Thales is looking for aAI and Digital Applications Development Intern to support the applications development teams' mission is to support Airline Global Services division of Thales Avionics business unit, by developing and supporting enterprise tools and Digital applications.
The Internship position within this team, consist on trying new ideas, concepts and technologies. It has the objectives growing the intern skills and further expose him to the enterprise model. And for Thales, the ability to explore new concept and keep the team relevant to new domain technology.
Key Areas of Responsibility
- Work with squad lead and product owner on assigned user stories.
- Follow and support agile methodologies and practices by actively participating in all SCRUM ceremonies.
- Write, test, and document code for Software development.
- Develop and test prototypes as agreed with Squad lead and product owner.
Minimum Requirements
- Working on a Bachelor's degree in engineering/mathematics discipline or related field.
- Have basic experience using major programming languages (Python, Java, MySQL,). Bash scripting knowledge a plus.
- Have basic understanding of Interfacing & Networking: Serial, Ethernet, IP/MAC addressing, VLANs, broadcast & multicast.
- Good verbal and written communication skills and capacity to adapt communication to fellow System Support Engineer.
- Strong work ethic and drive to succeed with a strong sense of accountability and integrity.
- Must be an appropriate organizational fit for the Thales culture, that is, exhibit the values of compliance, respect, innovation, responsibility and teamwork.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience to Git, Bitbucket, JIRA, & JAMA tools.
- Experience Python, Jupyter Notebook, Scikit-Learn, Pandas, NumPy.
Special Position Requirements
The anticipated TTC range for this role is $20 - $27 USD per hour The Company reserves the right to ultimately pay more or less than the posted range and offer additional benefits and other compensation, depending on circumstances not related to an applicant's status protected by local, state, or federal law.
