This position serves as Internal Medicine Physician for NATIVE HEALTH. This position is responsible for the delivery of adult patient-centered medical care services as well as providing general professional guidance of primary care staff.  Work performance is reviewed for conformance to policies, procedures and practices related to integrated health care delivery. 

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

1. Provides comprehensive adult patient-centered care including prevention, health maintenance, diagnosis, treatment of acute and chronic conditions, treatment of HIV+ and HepC+ patients, and follow-up services to patients under his/her care within the scope of practice of Internal Medicine.
2. Documents all patient-provider interactions following health care standards
3. Participates as an active member of an integrated patient centered team.
4. Provides oversight of Physician Assistants.  
5. Supports the organization as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE/REQUIREMENTS:

1. Completion of an accredited medical school, internship and completion of the certification examination by the medical board of examiners.
2. Must have a permanent and unrestricted license to practice medicine or osteopathy in Arizona.   
3. Must have current board certification in Internal Medicine and maintain certification.
4. Must have current medication dispensing license (DEA).
5. Experience and training must have been progressive and responsible, demonstrating good knowledge of current principles, practices, methods, and techniques in the field of medicine.
6. Three years of experience in an outpatient medical clinic or comparable setting is preferred. Experience in a community health center setting is preferred.
7. Current BLS certification is required.
8. Current ACLS certification is preferred.
9. Must pass a criminal background check with a Class I Fingerprint Clearance Card within the initial ninety (90) calendar days of employment.
