The RADT I intern counselor positions available in Garden Valley, Camino, Coloma, and Placerville. This position offers growth opportunities, and no experience is necessary but is preferred.
Job Description:
Under the supervision of the Clinical Supervisor, the Residential Certified Counselor provides a full range of Substance Use Disorder services to participants residing in residential treatment. Responsible for individual and group sessions throughout treatment. Identify, develop, plan, and implement individualized treatment plan problems, goals, and interventions with each patient. Assist with creating an effective and evidence-based program for patients.

- CPR/First Aid Certified

- If in recovery a minimum of two (2) years of s continuous abstinence
- Facilitating groups, activities, and counseling sessions
- Proficient documentation of client files (electronic and paper)
- Recurring assessments
- Coordinating client transportation
- Client discharge sessions
- Follows all policies and procedures pertaining to client information protection, including (42 CFR Part II) and HIPAA (45 CFR)
- Follows all policies and procedures with regard to contractual compliance with WestCare and Drug Medi-Cal standards surrounding the provision and documentation of treatment
- Communicating via shift notes to ensure continuity of high-quality care
- Crisis Intervention as needed
- Maintaining effective, collaborative relationships with the community, including hospitals, law enforcement, treatment programs, and funders
- Attend trainings, facility staffing's, and organizational meetings, as required
- Facility walk-throughs
- Enforcing all applicable policies and procedures
- Sensitivity and knowledge of the cultural characteristics of the clients to be served
- Working knowledge of MS Office, Telehealth applications, and related software
- Demonstrate ability to analyze, problem solve, work independently, accept supervisor guidance
- Maintaining cleanliness of the facility

- Full-time- 40 hours per week
- 8-hour shift with a 60-minute lunch break

- Ability to read and write clearly and effectively
- Excellent oral and written communication skills

- Ability to use provide counseling and related family counseling and education
- Ability to communicate effectively with people experiencing anxiety, stress and depression
