•Complete projects that revolve around medical education, marketing/operations, brand management, and Portfolio Management

•Network with key/high-level stakeholders and leaders of the business

Strategic Portfolio Management Team (SPMT) manages the Stryker Neurovascular governance processes to select the right projects to invest in and develops and maintains data tools to maximize the benefits of investments. Our team acts as the key facilitator among Sr. Staff and key functional leaders to drive the optimal investment decision of the company. We are part of the NV project management organization, so the intern will also have a chance to work with the new product development (NPD) project management team. This NPD team leads cross-functional teams to execute new product development programs.

Project 1: Strategic Portfolio Management

Identify critical data to support a better Strategic Portfolio decision and improve data credibility. Our team collects various data to support investment decisions, but it is challenging to forecast the future (e.g., revenue projection, launch timing, total cost). How can we improve the data credibility based on the historical and current data? What is the best way to collect data efficiently by minimizing adding additional work to the teams?

Project 2: New product development

Improving efficiency in new product development project management.

1. Develop templates to manage risk, schedule, and budget OR

2. Create an automated budget tracking spreadsheet to reduce manual entry OR

3. Automate prioritization/critical path flags for project files

What You Need

• Currently working on completion of an MBA or Master's degree in Biomedical Engineering, Business Analytics, or Marketing/Sales

• Cumulative 3.0 GPA or above; must be the case at the date of hire and also will be verified during background check in the spring

• Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. and not require employment-based sponsorship now or in the future.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills; able to manage priorities and workflow

• Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm

• Ability to exercise independent judgment

• Proficient on basic computer programs: Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint

• Proven leadership and business acumen skills

• Proven ability to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines

• Strong interpersonal skills
