Intern Responsibilities
Kemper interns will be exposed to the following concepts and experiences:
- Performs audits on specified department tasks for accuracy and to assure all guidelines, policies & procedures were followed within the individual's knowledge base.
- Create, revise, and approve quality-related documents.
- Provides feedback to the training team when additional training opportunities are identified.
- Works with the training team to update the department guidelines & procedures.
- Provides monthly required audit numbers.
- Meet monthly with management staff to discuss audit results.
- Investigates inefficiencies and participate in discussions for improvement.
- Must adhere to the assigned schedule and demonstrate dependability and reliability on a regular basis.
Intern Requirements & Qualifications
- Junior or Senior status enrolled at: {insert school of posting} California State University, Clark Atlanta University, Florida International University, Harris-Stowe State University, Miles College, University of Texas Rio Grande Valley
- Qualifying majors in an academic area related to financial services or insurance industry, such as, finance, data analytics, communications, accounting, or business administration
- Non-business majors are welcome if strong interest in financial services and/or insurance industry
- A minimum 3.0 GPA on a 4.0 GPA scale
- Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
- Ability to learn claims computer applications
- Good collaborative and relationship-building skills
- Energetic and eager to tackle new projects
- This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship
- This position is a hybrid role and may require work in the office 2-3 days a week
The hourly rate for this opportunity is $20.00/hour. Fall and Spring interns could be expected to work at least 20/hours per week. Interns are eligible for $2000 stipend.
