- Ability to work in a self-directed or team environment
- Relevant internship/work/research experience a plus

The Project Engineer - Injection Molding Intern position will be located in our Research and Development Center in Whitehall, MI.
We are seeking a highly motivated and energetic student to join the Engineering Services Group at Howmet Engines Research Center in Whitehall, MI. The candidate will work as part of a team of Engineers and Scientists tasked with providing technical and Engineering support for all AEN production facilities globally.
Typical duties include:
- Help drive injection process and hardware developments for efficiencies in quality, yield, and productivity
- Assist with the development of new 3D printing technology
- Support the implementation of advanced Injection Molding tooling
- Guide plant personnel on advanced Injection Molding equipment and techniques
- Coordinate efforts with equipment and tooling manufacturers to customize equipment for pattern wax and ceramic core molding
The 2024 Summer Internship Program also includes: lunch & learns presented by senior leaders, tours of our manufacturing plants & processes, networking opportunities, volunteering in the local community, and fun social activities to connect with fellow interns.
