Our client has engaged us in a search for their next Project Engineer to jopin their team. The Project Engineer will analyze and interpret architectural design documentation (blueprints, specifications, proposals, and customer-supplied designs) to draw/engineer products, projects, or services by performing the following duties:
What you will do:
- Work extensively with Outside Sales Representatives, Estimating, Project Management, Installation, and Fabrication teams
- Create sales drawings via customer-supplied specifications or internally-supplied dimensions for quoting purpose
- Review proposals and customer documentation post order entry to create submission drawings for approval
- Create fabrication packages (drawings, cleaning instructions, templates for shop) and coordinate with Shop Manager to provide proper paperwork for shop fabrication and shipment to customer
- Consult with Project Manager, customers, vendors, or other inpiduals to understand material requirements and customer expected delivery dates
- Provide technical support for prospects and customers
What you’ll need:
- Associates or Bachelors degree in architectural, engineering, or computer drafting and design
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to work well with others
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and AutoCAD
- (Preferred) Previous experience in glass and glazing industry
