INTERNSHIP PROGRAM STRUCTURE:
The 2024 Ulta Beauty GLOW Internship is a 10-week hybrid program tailored for college juniors, offering both Corporate and Supply Chain (DC) Internship Tracks. Interns will gain unique insights into their respective domains, contributing to real projects and dynamic initiatives within our corporate environment. The GLOW program provides real-world experience directly related to your academic discipline and career goals, offering a better understanding of your career options. The program spans 10 weeks and includes hands-on projects, cross-functional exposures, and professional development sessions.
- Hands-on experience working as a member of a specific department and team
- Assigned projects to accelerate learning of key functions/process
- Cross-functional departmental exposures
- Exposure to other business areas to ensure a full understanding of the company structure and strategy
- Professional development sessions and networking opportunities
- End of program presentation of project findings, and recommended course of action to leadership
TEAM OVERVIEW:
Be a part of Ulta Beauty's award-winning Investor Relations ("IR") team that communicates the Company's performance and investment thesis to Wall Street and manages the relationship between the Company and its investors. This position offers an outstanding opportunity for an individual to gain a broad understanding of Ulta Beauty's business, including operational and financial performance as well as key strategies being deployed across the company to deliver current and future results. The IR intern will play an important role in analyzing financial performance, monitoring competitive trends, supporting and tracking investor engagement, and ensuring key customers, including senior leadership and the IR team, have the data and information needed to effectively interact with the investment community.
RESPONSIBILITIES OF THIS INTERNSHIP:
As an intern, you will contribute to achieving the following goals:
- Support development of investor presentations, earnings reports, internal support documents, and other ad-hoc market data requests
- Cultivate relationships with internal business partners to help the IR team create external messaging on the operational and financial aspects of the company
- Monitor and analyze competitor earnings results and summarize insights for leadership team
- Develop and utilize data tools to quantify sell-side and buy-side expectations and identify emerging trends
- Support execution of investor events including managing the attendee list, gathering firm profiles and coordinating meeting logistics
- Use IR tools to maintain accurate record of investor interactions, track and measure activity.
- Manage the content of the IR website and look for opportunities to enhance messaging
REQUIREMENTS FOR CONSIDERATION:
- Individuals pursuing a Major or Concentration in Finance, Business Administration, Business Management, or a related field and entering your junior or senior year of school.
- Intellectual curiosity with demonstrated interest/talent in financial or quantitative analysis
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
- Proven ability to work well on teams, self-motivated, showing initiative, strong ability to respond to change/flexibility, a positive attitude and a strong work ethic
- Desire to work in a fast-paced environment and interact with various levels of leadership
- Ability to commit during the months of June - August 2024
- Previous work experience and involvement with on-campus organizations or activities
- Strong organizational skills, time management skills, attention to detail, and sense of urgency.
- Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion
- Proven command of Excel, PowerPoint, Word
- This role is based in Bolingbrook, IL and candidates must be willing to be in office as needed up to 50% of the internship
The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $25.00 / Hour with the opportunity for eligible associates to earn additional compensation pursuant to the Company's bonus plan. Exact pay will be based on factors including, but not limited to relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, level, shift, geographic location, and business and organizational needs. Full-time positions are eligible for paid time off, health, dental, vision, life and disability benefits. Part-time positions are eligible for dental, vision, life, and disability benefits.
