Intern-Information Security Intern

Our program provides a paid internship opportunity starting at $20.00 per hour, along with a hybrid work schedule that offers the best of both worlds. You will work in the office for four days a week, collaborate with your team, and grow your skills. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to work from home, one day a week. Our program runs from June 5th, 2024, to August 9th, 2024, and we expect our interns to commit to the entire program duration.

The intern will support the Information Security Team and assist with performing all processes and procedures necessary to ensure the safety of information systems and applications on premise and in the cloud. The Information Security Intern will assist with monitoring various security systems and supporting the assessment of company systems.

What you will do:

• Assist with the Security Awareness program
• Analyze and follow up on alerts and reports from the Security Operations Center
• Learn and understand implemented security solutions in place and provide enhancement recommendations.
• Stay abreast, and keep up with the latest threats and analyze the impact to Jazwares environment
• In partnership with IT Team, assist with access management tasks.
• Analyze the environment to provide suggestions and best practices to maintain security
• Propose metrics and prepare reports to show current security posture
• Additional duties as needed
  

What we are looking for:
 

• Currently enrolled Senior or recent alumni from a fully accredited College/University with concentration in Information Security, Information Technology, Computer Science or similar
• a minimum GPA of 3.5 Cumulative is strongly preferred
• Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office & G-Suite.
• Must be able to clear a background check.
• Must be authorized to work in the US.
• A demonstrated ability to work collaboratively.
• Strong analytical and research skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and data integrity.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Solid time management, organizational, and prioritization skills.
• Ability to communicate and deal effectively with diverse individuals at all organizational levels in a professional manner.
