Job Description:
SUMMARY

START DATE: May 13, 2024 or June 10, 2024
END DATE: August 2, 2024
LOCATION: Onsite work from our Jacksonville, FL office is required with flexibility to work remote up to two days per week.
RESPONSIBILITIES

• Contribute individually and/or as a team member to support a designated functional area, analyze business processes, and work towards goals and objectives assigned by an experienced manager
• Interact with, support business partners, and participate in projects that directly impact business value
• May assist and participate in network capacity planning, network administration, and network compliance activities
• May investigate and analyze threat activity for the identification of advanced persistent threats and malware
• With supervision, administer and monitor company security policies and procedures, review and investigate security violations
• Build professional relationships and enhance interpersonal skills
• Performs other related duties as assigned

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

• A high school diploma or GED is required for this role
• Minimum Cumulative GPA Requirement: 3.0
• Ability to participate in a full-time internship from May-August
• Ability to work onsite from Jacksonville, FL office Tuesday - Thursday

PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS

• Currently enrolled in collegiate coursework at an accredited university or recently graduated
• Declared degree in related field such as Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Engineering, or related technical degree program
• Completion or pursuance of relevant technical certifications such as CompTIA A+, CompTIA Security+, CompTIA Network+, CCNA, CISSP, CEH, etc.
• Knowledge of network technologies (i.e., routers, switches, load balancers, firewalls, network and routing protocols, DNS)
• Knowledge of basic IT technologies (i.e., operating systems, network devices, software development and architecture)
• Knowledge of common information security management frameworks
• Interest and/or familiarity with cloud computing, storage, and hosting functionality
• Interest and/or familiarity with DevOps principles
• Displays good written and oral communication skills
• Demonstrates strong computer skills including a good working knowledge of MS Office
• Additional skills, knowledge, and experience may be required based on the type of functions the incumbent will perform
