We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Summer Intern to join our General Assembly maintenance and engineering team.. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of Allen Bradley or Siemens controls and be able to work independently and collaboratively to ensure our systems are functioning efficiently.
Role/Responsibilities:
- Collect equipment availability data to chart departments equipment measurables.
- Develop and write testing scripts for manufacturing equipment testing cases to ensure proper system functionality
- Document the Preventative maintenance system integration process, including detailed steps and procedures.
- Assist engineers and technicians in analyzing test results and identifying areas for improvement
- Work with cross-functional teams to ensure all systems are integrated and functioning properly
- Assist with troubleshooting manufacturing equipment issues and identifying root cause solutions
- Communicate regularly with senior engineers and other team members to provide progress updates and receive feedback
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to team projects as needed
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of all testing and integration activities
- Work with a team of skilled tradesmen to understand the principals of manufacturing Electric vehicles.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Field(s) of study: Controls, Electrical and Mechanical Engineering
- Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD Degree program at an accredited university.
- Proof of enrollment in current or into next program (MS, PhD)
- Knowledge of system testing and integration processes
- Experience developing and writing testing scripts and test cases
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
- Familiarity with software development life cycle and agile methodology
Program Information:
- Timing: May-August, or June-September pending class schedules.
- Duration of Internship: Our internship program is 12 weeks; the end date is flexible based on individual needs.
- Work Location & Environment: This position will be in Casa Grande, AZ and is fully in-person. The working environment will be a mix of lab & office work.
- Compensation: Student compensation is based on location and current degree level, non-negotiable.
- Visa Sponsorship: Lucid may but is not obligated to sponsor foreign national employees requiring company sponsorship for U.S. employment authorization.
- Relocation: One round trip flight to the assigned work location from/to permanent residence.
- Housing/Transportation: You must provide your own living arrangements and transportation in the local area.
- Background Check: All offers of employment are contingent on clearing a background check.
- Drug Screening: All offers of employment are contingent on passing a drug screen.
- Medical benefits: Dental and vision on day 1 for all interns working 32+ hours a week; medical for interns in California working 32+ hours a week.
The hourly range for internships specific to the location is $28/hr-$68/hr and is the range Lucid reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for the position taking into account: degree level and job-specific domain. You may be eligible for additional compensation as well as access to our medical, dental, and vision programs.
