Job Description:
Microchip Technology Inc. is seeking an Environmental Intern for the Summer of 2023 to become a member of the Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Team. The candidate will be based at the Colorado Springs Facility. Candidate must use available housing accommodations to qualify. Duties include working with the lead Environmental Engineers on current projects.
Essential Functions:

• Directly support Colorado Springs Operations as an EHS team member
• Perform calibration, preventive maintenance, and inspection of EHS equipment

• Help conduct compliance evaluations and calculations for numerous Environmental Programs
• Assist in the implementation of recycling waste streams
• Update Safety Data Sheet database and chemical safety label compliance
• Conduct RCRA compliance monitoring
• Research and follow-up with environmental compliance standards and regulatory schedule

Requirements/Qualifications:

• Two years of college with an environmental health & safety, environmental science, Environmental Engineering, or chemical engineering major.
• Knowledge of environmental regulations and sampling for testing air, water, soil, hazardous waste, and materials preferred.
• Well versed in communication skill to work with other organizations
• Proficiency with MS Office suite.

Pay Range:
