We currently have exciting internship opportunities to join the Design team for Tailored Brands. This position is in New York City. You will learn the Men's design business and partner with others within the organization including Product Development and Merchandising. Make an impact by researching a business problem, developing solutions and presenting results to your core team members. The purpose of these roles is to provide practical experience, establish a professional network, and provide broad exposure to our organization to prepare college students for their future career.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Assemble and maintain product presentation boards
Create all pitch sheets
Approve/comment on lab dips
Develop new trims/trim matching under the guidance of Director/Designer
Work with Director/Designer to create new label and hang tag development artwork
Research seasonal silhouette and concept direction
Sketch styles and style details for development
Create BOM shells
Create and maintain line sheets
Prepare all materials to pass to R D/PD/Tech at bulk pass off
Attend all fittings.
Seasonal development chart creation
Seasonal sample requests w/ pd team
Swatches to buyers
Digital presentations -
Brand Recaps for licensors
Seasonal "highlight" deck- for example spring 24 prom deck
Trend Deck assistance
Scans of all swatches to shared drive
Mill appointments when appropriate
Label placement charts
Assist in seasonal swatch layouts for buyer presentations.
Pass development requests for fabric and trims to Fabric Department
Maintenance of sketch library and uploading of sketches to seasonal tech packs
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Currently pursuing a degree in Fashion, Design or related field
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Comfortable working part time/full time in NYC office
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
Ability to work independently on capstone project
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Suite or related software

$20.00 to $25.00 per hour. We take into consideration an individual's skills, background, and experience in determining final salary. Base pay information is based on market location and may be subject to prevailing wage laws, if applicable.
