Design Associate Kidswear $70K-$75K Boe

Experience in designing girls and/or boys licensed products required. Work under the Design Director. Research current market trends relevant to brand, shop market for samples to support direction and development, flat sketch design, trims etc. Collaborate with graphic designers for line development. Set up design boards for sales. Tech Pack development process: assigning style numbers, color codes & spec request, detailing out make and needle, etc. Sample Product development approvals; lab-dips, strike-offs, fabric approvals etc. Communication with production & factories on sampling and problem-solving. Strong knowledge of kids licensed fashion design; preferred in athletic wear and/or branded lines. Strong knowledge of garment construction, fabrications, trims etc. Good knowledge of garment art techniques Strong Adobe Illustrator and Excel skills. Fast paced, large volume licensed kids wear co. Broadway in the 30’s.
