In this role, you will
Learn how scientists working in the pharmaceutical industry develop and validate analytical methods, and how those analytical methods are ultimately used in testing materials used for pharmaceutical manufacturing
Develop project management skills
Learn about laboratory safety in a professional setting
Learn about the various types of analytical instrumentation used in the pharmaceutical industry and obtain hands on experience including HPLC, UPLC, GC, IR, UV, and titration analyses
Develop problem solving techniques
Develop analytical experimentation skills
Learn about requirements for documentation in the pharmaceutical industry (GxPs), including good documentation practices, good manufacturing practices, and good laboratory practices
Learn to collect, analyze, and report data
Qualifications
Currently pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Natural Sciences, preferentially Chemistry
Education: Mathematics and General chemistry course completed with B grade or higher. High school or college level
Ability to work safely in laboratory
Attention to detail, ability to read and understand standard operating procedures, manuals, follow instructions
Ability to perform analytical experimental work accurately and neatly
Basic computer skills, data analysis skills, competency in Excel
Willingness to learn and perform manual laboratory labor required to prepare and carry out experimental work
