Job Title: Network Technician
Overview: We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Network Technician to join our team. As a Network Technician, you will be responsible for the maintenance, troubleshooting, and optimization of our company's network infrastructure. You will work closely with our IT team to ensure seamless communication and connectivity across all systems and devices.
Key Responsibilities:
- Network Maintenance: Regularly inspect, maintain, and upgrade network hardware and software components to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
- Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve network problems in a timely manner, including issues related to connectivity, bandwidth, and network security.
- Configuration Management: Configure routers, switches, firewalls, and other network devices according to established standards and guidelines.
- Security Management: Implement and maintain network security measures to protect against unauthorized access, viruses, and other security threats.
- Monitoring and Optimization: Monitor network performance and traffic patterns, and implement measures to optimize network efficiency and resource utilization.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate documentation of network configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps.
- Collaboration: Collaborate with other IT team members and departments to support the implementation of new network technologies and systems.
- User Support: Provide technical support and assistance to end-users regarding network-related issues and inquiries.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field .
- Proven experience working as a Network Technician or in a similar role.
- Strong understanding of networking concepts and protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, etc.).
- Hands-on experience with network hardware and software, including routers, switches, firewalls, and network monitoring tools.
- Familiarity with network security principles and best practices.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
