Cost Analyst

Role Description:
The main functions of a financial analyst are to gather and analyze financial information; will typically conduct quantitative analyses of information affecting project management programs. A typical financial analyst is responsible for gathering and communicating financial information for clients. 
 
Responsibilities:

• Assemble spreadsheets and draw charts and graphs used to illustrate technical reports.
• Analyze financial information to produce forecast of business, industry, and economic conditions for use in cost forecasting.
• Utilize CMMS (Maximo) to issue Service & Purchase Orders to vendors.

• Manage project budgets within financial systems.

• Manage CSI process to accurately track and forecast project costs.

• Provides regular cost updates to Management and Stakeholders.

• Maintains organization of information for yearend accruals.

Required Skills/Qualifications:

• Financial and/or accounting experience required.

• Verbal and written communication skills, attention to detail, and critical thinking.

• Ability to work independently and manage one’s time.

• Basic ability to analyze business trends and project future revenues and expenses.

• Basic knowledge of economic and accounting principles, and reporting of financial data.

• Previous experience with computer applications, such as Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint, and any other related financial software(Smart by GEP, Ariba, SAP). 

Education:

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, business or related financial discipline or 10+ years of related work experience required.
