Job Description
POSITION SUMMARY
Operates and performs maintenance on machinery, mechanical equipment and other services for Marshall Medical Center (MMC). Operates on shifts independently and performs a variety of duties in the hospital and its surrounding facilities. Performs these duties using the appropriate skills, tools and technology. Develops, maintains and controls the Engineering consumable supply and emergency repair inventory. Researches the cost and specifications of supplies, parts and equipment. Provides information to ensure the cost effectiveness of equipment, supplies and special projects in a timely manner.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
Education/Licensure/Certification:
*Note: Requires employees to drive at least once per pay period. Candidates must possess and supply proof of: a current CA Driver's License, a clean DMV printout and Auto Insurance coverage with a minimum of $50,000 per person/$100,000 per occurrence (or a combined single limit of $100,000) and property damage coverage in an amount not less than $50,000 per occurrence.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
Education/Licensure/Certification:
- *Must meet all DMV requirements listed below.
- Minimum of two years equivalent in education and/or experience as a mechanical trade worker in one of the following areas: Pipe Fitter, Plumber, Construction Mechanic, Plant Maintenance, Refrigeration, Air Conditioning, Boiler Maker, General Mechanics or hospital engineering experience.
- Experience in Gas Welding, Arc Welding and Silver Solder is highly preferred.
- Minimum of two years equivalent in Business Management and/or experience in hospital engineering is required.
- Prefer experience in parts procurement.
- Must be able to recognize the proper tool for the job and use it in the safest, as well as most efficient, economical and effective manner.
- Ability to type for data entry purposes.
- Basic computer skills are required.
- Excellent customer service skills including oral, written, and listening skills required.
