Guggenheim Investments Intermediary Distribution organization is seeking a Sales Intern. Reporting to the Head of Internal Sales, the Intern will take on a variety of projects that will expose them to multiple aspects of retail distribution for an asset management firm. In this internship, one will gain general sales skills, gain an understanding of the financial services industry, and learn critical business skills. Duties of the role include general support to the distribution team through data management and projects as assigned. The goal is to provide exposure and training to individuals seeking a future in financial services distribution.
The opportunity is limited to a select number of individuals with an interest in the financial services business, a desire to succeed and an outstanding work ethic. The summer internship begins in early June 2023 and is located in the firm’s downtown Chicago office.
- Assist Regional Sales Team with assigned projects including marketing and data management
- Assist in mass distribution efforts
- Attend conference calls and training sessions
- Develop a knowledge Guggenheim’s Market Outlook and investment solutions
- Research partner firm initiatives and competitive products
- Work closely with distribution team to implement territory sales strategies
- Understand current market trends and how they affect Guggenheim’s Investment Solutions
- Understand and utilize Guggenheim’s product features and benefits
- Familiarity with investment strategies and concepts
- High problem solving and analytical abilities
- Self-motivated and goal-oriented; with an interest in learning
- Strong organizational and time management skills to meet deadlines
- Ability to build relationships and work independently and collaboratively with others
- Currently enrolled in a four-year undergraduate program with at least two years completed
- Business related major (e.g., Finance, and/or Economics)
- Experience with Microsoft Word, Power Point and Excel
Actual base salaries may vary depending on factors such as location and experience.
Currently, this role is expected to be in the Chicago office 5 days per week.
