Job description

Duties

  • Serves as an engineer/ test officer. Conducts test and evaluation of military equipment in test projects. Performs and determines analysis and evaluation of testing alternatives.
  • Reviews design and user specifications, evaluation plans, and material performance criteria. Determines methods and procedures to test for technical performance, properties, design characteristics, and test duration.
  • Develops cost estimates, test schedules, executes tests, and analyzes data accumulated from testing. Reviews data collected for completeness, accuracy, and validity.

  • The U.S. Army Test and Evaluation Command has various incentives that may be available for highly qualified candidates. These include Recruitment Incentives, Relocation Incentives, Student Loan Repayment, Credit for Leave Accrual, and Permanent Change of Station Allowance.
  • The NH-03 band is equal to the GS-12 step 01 through GS-13 step 10. This position is subject to the NH-03 Non-Supervisory Senior Professional/Evaluator/Tester/Analyst control point of the ATEC Control Point Policy at $134,435 per year (Includes locality pay).
  • Male applicants born after December 31, 1959, must complete a Pre-Employment Certification Statement for Selective Service Registration.

  • One year trial/probationary period may be required.
  • Direct Deposit of Pay is required.
