Job description

This is a hybrid position. Candidate must live near the Tallmadge, Ohio, Sparks, Nevada or Arlington, Texas location.
Travel may be required up to 5 weeks out of the year to other sites.
Summary: The primary purpose of this position is to manage and improve the functionality of all security devices utilized to enhance the safety of Summit Racing employees and customers.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
  • Maintain, monitor, and install electronic security technology applications, servers, and devices.
    • Lenel access control systems.
    • IntelliSense video management system
    • IntelliSense Facial Recognition system
    • Traka asset management system
    • Aiphone intercom systems both IX and IXG series
    • Basic knowledge of SQL server 2016 and SQL 2019
    • Mercury access panels
    • Thermal Radar systems
    • PlateSmart LPR systems
    • Basic knowledge of Server 2016 and 2019
    • Basic knowledge of Linux
    • Verkada Visitor Management
    • PowerShell Scripting
    • Basic understanding of network topology and ability to trouble shoot at layer 1 of the OSI model.
  • Work proactively and in conjunction with the PC desktop, Networking, IT Infrastructure, and IT Security.
  • Work to patch digital security vulnerabilities with the Physical security systems we manage, identified by InfoSEC's periodic security scans.
  • Maintain camera firmware requirements of the VMS.
  • Daily check and tests on alerting systems, to ensure alerts are executed and sent in a timely manner.
  • Ensure new, critical, devices are added to the SRE monitoring software. In the event of failure, immediate action can be taken to restore critical services.
  • Work proactively and in conjunction with the Facilities department.
  • Monitor existing physical components of our buildings such as structure, doors, windows, locks, etc.

  • Ability to show professionalism and model Summit’s core value system with employees/outside staff when traveling to other sites.
  • The ability to work autonomously, as in being able to make independent decisions.
  • Ability to keep software up to date – as well as implement, monitor and troubleshoot new software.
  • Ability to work with others.
  • Work with third party integrators and contractors.
  • Assist in training for personal security and safety of employees.
  • Conducts or directs surveillance of suspects and premises to apprehend culprits.
  • Works with and may travel to all Summit Racing facilities to aid in the development, implementation and management of local facilities and personnel security and safety standards and procedures.
  • Undertake a secondary role in the incident and emergency team as the backup point of contact; prepare reports and document follow up action.
  • Report any significant security breaches.
  • Assist in keeping business recovery/contingency plans and/or procedures up to date.
Education and/or Experience: High School Diploma or equivalent required. 2-year college degree preferred but not required. Two to three years related computer, networking, software, or security hardware installation experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Lenel Certification and Verint Certification preferred but not required.
