THE ORGANIZATION
Alta California Regional Center (ACRC) is a non-profit agency under contract to the State of California and for 50 years has provided the coordination of services to individuals with developmental disabilities. ACRC employs approximately 700 persons working out of eight offices in a ten-county area. ACRC is one of 21 Regional Centers in California.
THE POSITION AND JOB SUMMARY
ACRC is seeking an Intake Specialist currently assigned to the Sacramento office. The purpose of the position is to assess applicants for eligibility for ACRC services in alignment with ACRC-defined ethical, clinical, practical, and professional standards. This position guides applicants and their families through the Intake process within particular timelines: completes Social Assessment, makes recommendation to the Eligibility Review Team, maintains all relevant records, communicates decision to applicant/their family, and transitions applicant to resources in the community and/or to a Client Services Unit.

Requirements:Applicants must possess: A Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Social Work or a closely-related field; one year of human services work experience; ability to work collaboratively as part of the Clinical interdisciplinary team, ability to apply interpret and apply relevant laws, regulations, requirements, and policy standards; good written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills; good time management and organization skills; valid Driver License; and automobile liability insurance. COMPENSATION:
We adhere to an eight-step salary structure, determined by a combination of educational attainment and professional experience.
$24.63 - $31.43 Intake Specialist IIIB: (Must possess a bachelor's degree)
$27.19 - $34.71 Intake Specialist IIIA: (Must possess a master's degree)
