Intake Specialist

Job Purpose: The Intake Coordinator will assist with administrative and patient care procedures during the admissions process to ensure patient needs are met and that all policies and procedures are effectively followed.

Responsiblities:

• Confirm scheduled admissions as scheduled admission day approaches.
• Schedule Tenncare Transportation for incoming admits.
• Complete Initial Assessment once patients arrive to admit.
• Update Utilization Review team once Initial Assessment has been completed.
• Act as backup for incoming calls, scheduling admissions, etc during down time.

Education and Experience required (If applicable):

• GED or high school equivalent required
• Certified Peer Recovery Specialist designation, or equivalent, preferred
• Knowledge of Mental and Behavioral Health
• Knowledge of Substance Use Disorder Recovery and Treatment
• Excellent skill in listening, communication, time management, and professionalism

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.00 - $25.00 per hour

• Addiction: 1 year (Preferred)

License/Certification:

• Driver's License (Preferred)

Work Location: In person
