- Position: Intake Care Coordinator
- Location: Richardson, Texas
- Schedule: Full Time
- Hours: Monday-Friday, 8:30am-5:00pm (remote work is available after training)
THE POSITION:
The Intake Care Coordinator team member works within the Patient Services Department and is the key individual responsible for the account management for patients. Our Patient Service department is a fast-paced, high-energy environment and you'll find yourself challenged and required to use critical thinking every day. They provide support to internal and external customers, including team members, leadership, patients and providers, affiliated payors, and other company personnel.
- Processing of new and renewing orders, reviewing documentation to ensure all items required for order type are attached and accurate.
- Verify Insurance requirements
- Obtain prior authorizations
- Maintain patient records
- Coordination of services with clinical staff & referrals
- Patient supply & service orders
THE QUALIFICATIONS:
- Durable medical equipment (DME) intake/ admissions experience preferred
- Exceptionally organized, multi-tasking, problem solving and communication and strong keyboard skills. A high level of initiative combined with a customer service mentality is also required.
- Experience in Brightree EHR a plus!
