The Pettengill House, Inc. is a grassroots community based social services agency has been providing critical programs and services for the most vulnerable and at-risk members of the greater Newburyport communities including Amesbury, Byfield, Groveland, Merrimac, Newbury, Newburyport, Rowley, Salisbury and West Newbury, MA for nearly 30 years.

Primary Responsibilities of Intake Assistant
- Processing referrals from internal and external sources for the agency
- Initiate initial contact to gather and process referrals to set up intake
- Conduct initial intake or client update via phone, in person or home visit
- Create warm and welcoming experience engaging callers/clients and families
- Assess client’s initial needs and referral internally for case management and program supports
- Entry of client data into database
- Assist with data accuracy
- Provide staff support and training with agency database
- Abide by all confidentiality and professional boundaries standards
Qualifications:
We require:
- Knowledge, work experience and education in human services, social work field
- Valid Driver's license
- Motor vehicle in operating condition
- Travel as needed within catchment area of agency
- Bilingual a plus
