About the Role:
We are looking for a talented and driven Insurance Verification Specialist to join our team. This position is primarily a full-time remote position Monday – Friday but will need to be willing to travel and attend job-related events in the Chicagoland area as needed.
As part of our team, you will help us impact the lives of our kiddos by helping ensure eligibility verifications are completed prior to the date of service for the patient. Gracent is seeking an Insurance Verification Specialist to perform administrative and billing support in conjunction with confirming client insurance eligibility and managing medical authorization requests. You will serve as a partner to our providers and billing teams to ensure timely appropriate billing. In this position, the Insurance Verification Specialist is expected to demonstrate outstanding customer service skills during every interaction. The Insurance Verification Specialist works closely with providers and payors responding timely to inquiries in efforts to resolve authorization and eligibility questions/issues
Does this sound like you:
- Comfortable with clerical and data processing tasks of a routine but varied nature in conjunction with moderate but proficient computer skills
- Solid computer skills, EMR experience strongly preferred -Must be proficient in typing, possess the ability to operate computer, copy/fax machine.
- Strong, professional, and courteous interpersonal and communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail
- Knowledge of medical insurance preferred.
- Works with management to identify issues and opportunities for improvement in process.
- A self-starter that can initiate and perform tasks without continuous direction.
- Ability to think critically, identify issues with a solution-oriented approach
Essential Functions:
- Confirm eligibility, benefit coverage and authorization requirements.
- Send benefit information to the clinical teams and families we serve to promote client experience.
- Maintain the highest standards of customer service excellence.
- Be responsible for a variety of duties including assisting in additional billing/authorization related requests/projects.
Qualifications
- A self-starter that can initiate and perform tasks without continuous direction.
- High school or GED required.
- Three years physician billing and collections experience required.
- In depth knowledge of payer reimbursement policies and procedures
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work in a collaborative, team environment.
- Ability to be well organized, detail-oriented, in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to think critically and identify the global impact across the revenue cycle with a solution-oriented approach.
