RMH is looking to hire an efficient Insurance Verification Specialist. A successful candidate should have a deep understanding of insurance benefits, excellent communication skills, and attention to detail.
Responsibilities:
- Communicate with payors to verify eligibility and benefits, confirm anticipated patient out of pocket expense, and determine next steps for prior authorization.
- Prioritize urgent benefits.
- Create and distribute patient benefit letters
- Document progress in project management system.
- Develop single case agreements if necessary
- Collaborate with admissions team to provide information in a timely fashion.
- Coordinate efforts with billing team.
- Create a positive patient experience
- Actively participate as a team member in resolving issues as they are identified
Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED
- Exceptional customer service skills
- Effective communication skills
- Excellent organizational skills
- Detail-oriented
- Experience in a healthcare related field, specifically insurance eligibility verification or collection of accounts receivable preferred, with a minimum of 2 years
