SalaryThis position’s first and foremost responsibility is to protect the financial integrity of OakBend Medical Center. There are multiple locations within OakBend Medical Center requiring Insurance Verification Specialist services (i.e., Jackson St, Williams Way, New Territory, Wharton, Elite Travis, River Oak, Metro and Grand Parkway). While the day to day duties vary, the primary responsibility is maximizing reimbursement and obtaining authorizations for all required services rendered. The Insurance Verification Specialist must ensure that each account has complete benefit verifications, appropriate authorizations, and that all out-of-pocket expenses are explained to our patients and financial arrangements made and are followed through per current procedures including uninsured patients. Protect the financial health of OakBend Medical Center and providing exemplary customer service to our internal and external customers.
High school diploma or GED.
MINIMUM WORK EXPERIENCE
At least one year of Insurance Verification experience required

Excellent interpersonal skills required. Typing of 35 wpm.
