We are in search of dedicated Verification Benefits Specialists who understand the importance of timely verification processes and monitoring of client accounts for the health and operations of a business. This professional will be an integral part of our billing department and will need to be a team player who contributes to the success of the business through customer service and timely verifications.
Qualifications
- Proficient in Microsoft products such as Word and Excel
- Prior Insurance Benefits Verification Experience Required
- Knowledge of in-network payers with use of resources and tools
- Excellent organization skills, excellent telephone and people skills
- Time Management skills with demonstrated ability to meet deadlines
- Team player
Responsibilities
- Full Time | Monday-Friday
- Provide insurance data support
- Ability to effectively communicate interdepartmentally
- Provide additional support to billing department as needed
- Communicates issues/problems with demographic information to the intake and billing department as needed
- Communicates any problems with insurance companies to billing and intake personnel as needed
- Documenting and tracking payer specific requirements and updating teammates on changes
- Completing and reporting on all VOB requests daily
- Effectively documents patient financial responsibility in EMR system
- Answers phone for within the Insurance Verification administrative offices in a timely and professional manner
- Assures the completeness and accuracy of all insurance information prior to a perspective patient’s admission
