INSURANCE VERIFICATIONS PPO & MEDICAID
- Greet and welcome patients and visitors in a friendly and professional manner
- Register patients by verifying demographic information and insurance coverage
- Schedule appointments and manage the appointment calendar
- Answer phone calls, respond to inquiries, and provide information about the medical office
- Collect co-pays and payments for services rendered
- Maintain patient records and ensure accuracy of information
- Follow HIPAA guidelines to protect patient confidentiality
- Assist with medical coding and billing processes as needed
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience working in a medical office or healthcare setting preferred
- Knowledge of medical terminology, coding (ICD-9, ICD-10), and insurance verification
- Proficient in using electronic medical record (EMR) systems
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
