The Insurance Authorization Specialist is an individual who, with appropriate experience, can enhance the clerical functions of General Surgery. This individual takes responsibility for assisting the OR surgical schedulers of obtaining Insurance Authorizations for surgical cases being scheduled at University Hospital and outside facilities within a proper allocated time frame.
Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:Associates Degree or pertinent college level courses and two years of progressively responsible clerical experience. Will consider equivalent combination of education and experience.
