This person is intended to assume two roles:
Inspections Coordinator (First 2-3 Years):
- Knowledge of the third part inspection business as relates to the type of equipment being purchased on Projects.
- Knowledge of the types of testing performed by vendors (welding, hydro, coating, metallurgical, NDEs, final inspection, documentation review, shipping, loadout).
- Interface with inspectors, vendors QA personnel and client's QA manager.
- Schedule and track progress of inspections. Coordinate these with the vendor, client and EPC.
- Host Pre-Inspection Meetings (PMI).
- Transfer customer specs and vendor approved documents for use during inspections.
- May require a limited travel to attend some PMI meetings or inspections.
I&E lead (On demand part time and full time after 3 years):
- Develop conceptual and detailed designs and verify implementation of core Yokogawa Systems products, including DCS, SIS and Information Management Systems. This includes the generation of system Bill of Materials and Purchase Requisitions for system hardware, software and buyout materials. Equipment may need to be evaluated for compatibility.
- Design, implementation, testing and integration of Yokogawa and vendor sub-systems including PLC packaged systems, SCADA systems, Intelligent Motor Control Relays, CCTV, Gas Chromatographs and Data Historians.
- Calculate CPU and Network loads for the DCS and SIS.
- Calculate Heat Dissipation and Power Consumption for various types of cabinet and consoles.
- Develop cabinet designs for various systems, including but not limited to DCS, SIS, Server / Networking and Marshalling.
- Develop Control Room / Rack Room designs, including console furniture designs with integrated switch, annunciator and display panels.
- Plan and execute the migration of control systems in both "on-line (hot cutover) and "off-line process plant scenarios.
- Demonstrates proficiency with reviewing designs of all aspects of a Remote Instrument Enclosure, including Structural Design, UPS, HVAC, Grounding, Fire & Gas systems, Lighting, Electrical Utilities
