Job Description
E&I Engineer will play an instrumental part in translating EnergyX’s lithium separation technologies into demonstration-scale leading to commercialization. The role will be part of the process engineering team and report to the Director of Process Engineering. The position will be responsible for designing, reviewing, building, troubleshooting, and operating EnergyX pilot projects and lithium separation technology scale-up projects. The position is based in Austin, TX, and international traveling (S. America) might be required.
Responsibilities
Work on a team of experienced EnergyX scientists and engineers on projects focused on disruptive materials and engineering systems to fundamentally transform scientific aspects of the energy industry including:
- E&I technical support for capital projects.
- E&I Design, Motor Control Center Design.
- Capital Project Scope Development.
- Basic & Detailed Design.
- Drawing modification.
- Review Technical Proposals.
- HT line.
- Substation, Single Line Diagram.
- Project plan, scope development, schedules, and budgets.
- Project Development, Load list, and Project Execution.
- Programming, IO list, PLC, DCS, HMIs.
- Construction.
- Testing.
- Commissioning.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 7 years of experience in the Chemical/Mineral Industry.
- Knowledge of electrical distribution systems.
- Knowledge of applicable codes, standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Knowledge of different design/built codes (ASME, DIN-EN or others)
- Knowledge of HT & LT lines, Substations, rectifier & MCC.
- Experience with Rockwell, Siemens and other reputed PLCs.
- Experience building and wiring panels.
- Process Control and maintenance Experience Preferred.
- Experience in control system design, engineering, programming and development is a plus.
- Knowledge in the design and development of DCS systems & HMIs.
- EPC experience is a plus.
- Demonstrated ability to install electrical and fluid equipment with clear communication.
- Experience with flow, pressure, temperature, level, conductivity, pH, etc. systems.
- Ability to travel to South America (Bolivia, Argentina, Chile).
