At Florida Polytechnic University, the freshman and sophomore level courses on the Design Sequence serve undergraduate students in the STEM core and undergraduate engineering programs. The successful candidate will be expected to demonstrate excellence in teaching in the classroom as well as in the laboratory. They should have a strong interest in academic success of first year undergraduate students and collaborating with others supporting university initiatives to prepare students for our STEM degrees.
The successful applicant must demonstrate the ability to deliver course material in both the classroom and laboratory, participate in highly coordinated courses, collaborate with colleagues, supervise undergraduate students, and to teach effectively to a broad range of STEM students in the introductory and design sequence courses. In addition, the candidate is expected to assist in the broader education mission of the department.JOB DESCRIPTION
MINIMUM QUALIFICATION:
Bachelor’s degree in any engineering field and Master’s degree in related STEM discipline.
DESIRED / PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Teaching and/or relevant academic/industry experience
Experience in curriculum delivery and laboratory instruction
Experience with students’ academic mentoring.
Prior professional US experience with progressive responsibility.
Demonstrated ability to communicate and work effectively with a diverse campus community.
