The Department of Radiation Oncology at Tulane Medical Center / Tulane Cancer Center is searching for Clinical Instructor of Physics. The Department has experienced a rapid growth in patient volume and clinical research in recent years, and was recently accredited with the American College of Radiology. The Department boasts outstanding physics, dosimetry and nursing support personnel, as well as expanding therapeutic instrumentation.
This opportunity requires a board certified, PhD candidate with a minimum of three years clinical experience in all aspects of clinical Radiation Oncology, a strong background in clinical research, and a vision to expand the Department’s mission to provide excellent patient care and research. This position will report directly to the Interim Chair in the Department of Radiation Oncology and will involve a faculty position at the Clinical Instructor level in the Tulane University School of Medicine, commensurate with experience.

The Department of Radiation Oncology is a state of the art clinical facility, equipped with a Philips Big Bore 16slice CT scanner with 4D capability, a Varian 2300 IX linear accelerator with ExacTRAC IGRT, and a Varian Trilogy accelerator with conebeam CT IGRT. We also offer IMRT with 120 Leaf MLC and electronic portal imaging, Nucletron HDR, LDR brachytherapy, BrainLab stereotactic radiosurgery, and the Eclipse treatment planning system.
Qualifications:
