Description:
Tulane University School of Medicine invites applications for a Research Track Instructor faculty position in the Department of Medicine. The selected candidate will assist in developing new research opportunities and expanding the current research program with the Section of Hematology Oncology.
Qualifications:
Seeking an individual with:
- PhD in Chemistry or Biological Sciences and five years of postdoctoral experience
- At least 10 years of research experience in an academic setting
- Excellent research, analytic, and presentation skills
- Excellent writing and editing skills
- Evidence of published research in cancer progression and metastasis, including testing efficacy of novel anticancer agents, animal modeling of metastatic cancer
- Experience with live-cell imaging and animal bio-imaging essays and post-experiment data analysis
- Experience in analysis of whole genome expression studies and in characterization of cell signaling and cellular metabolism
- Experience managing animal breeding colonies, performing survival surgeries and ensuring post-op care of animals
- Experience managing multiple research projects and research collaborations
- Experience training students, staff in a shared resource facility, and managing shared resources and instrumentation related to wet bench research
