Kumon North America Inc. is seeking an individual with experience in the field of education to operate our company-owned center in Manhattan, NY. This is a unique opportunity to experience full cycle business operations including center management, student instruction, parent communication, and marketing. The Company Center Instructor may be asked to float between 1-2 company-owned centers, as needed.
Job Summary
The Company Center Instructor is responsible for the individualized instruction and development of students. The position requires effective communication with students and parents and the supervision of part-time center staff.
Requirements
- Bachelors’ degree required. Field of study in Education preferred
- Work Experience - Combination of teaching and/or related business work experience of at least 1-3 years
- Availability: Availability to work early evenings (2-3 times/week)
- Lesson planning
- Student observation and instruction
- Manage Center operations and supervision of staff
- Marketing plan development and implementation
- Parent communication and customer service
- Tuition collection and reconciliation
