Position Summary
Partners and collaborates with the Learning & Development (L&D) team and SMEs stakeholders to design and deliver high-quality learning solutions and learner experience for L&D leadership, management, and professional development program design to cultivate a culture of Learning and support growth of leaders, managers, and employees university-wide.
Job Description
Primary Duties & Responsibilities
  • Collaborates with Learning and Development team and internal subject-matter experts to understand learning needs of stakeholders and target audience(s) information to design, develop, test, present and assess design inclusive and accessible learning curriculum and solutions, including text, multimedia, assessments and activities in alignment with organizational objectives and defining success measures of learner experience.
  • Leads Technology Integrations and utilizes learning technologies and tools, including learning management systems (LMS) and other authoring software. Helps create, manage and enforce LMS system L&D standards, policies and procedures. Designs interfaces and interactions that are user-friendly and intuitive for learners Iteration and continuous Improvement. Analyzes learner performance and feedback to refine and enhance instructional materials. Incorporates blended Learning and adult learning principles, and selects the appropriate instructional mediums, including self-paced programs, instructor-led programs, virtual, e-learning. Prepares learning material such as facilitator manuals, workbooks, presentations, reference guides, job aids and other facilitation/learning tools.
  • Researches and maintains knowledge of the latest trends in Learning and Development educational trends, best practices and emerging technologies in instructional design. Leads project management of timelines and project deliverables to ensure timely completion. Maintains records of design decisions, content specifications and project progress. Manages the evaluation to access the effectiveness of instructional materials and making data-driven improvements.
  • Partners in facilitation of L&D leadership, management, and professional development courses in-person and virtual sessions ensuring an engaging and learner-centric approach.
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree in Instructional Design or Leaning and Technology.
  • Certified Professional in Instructional Design, Learning and Performance (CPLP) and/or related certifications.
  • Experience in instructional design, adult learning principles, and experienced at implementing Learning and Development initiatives.
  • Experience in project management.
  • Demonstrated application of training strategies in an academic/organizational environment.
  • Advanced knowledge and detailed understanding of training theories, methodologies, and techniques.
  • Knowledge and experience with data collection methods.
  • Demonstrated effective verbal and written communication skills; must be fluent and literate in English.
  • Demonstrated effective presentation and facilitation skills .
  • Ability to work independently, effectively managing routine work and assigned projects.
  • Ability to apply different learning delivery methods, i.e. facilitation, coaching & feedback.
  • Adept with a variety of multimedia training platforms and methods.
  • Extremely proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and related program software.
  • Experience working with ADDIE or SAM models.

Required Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Instructional design, education, curriculum development, teaching and learning or related field and a minimum of five (5) years of related experience in Instructional design certification fields such as Education, Psychology, Communications, Instructional Design, and Multimedia Design, including the following - Psychology and Human Behavior courses, Pedagogy courses, and Curriculum design courses, or relevant equivalent combination of education and experience.

Salary Range
$57,300.00 - $97,700.00 / Annually
The salary range reflects base salaries paid for positions in a given job grade across the University. Individual rates within the range will be determined by factors including one's qualifications and performance, equity with others in the department, market rates for positions within the same grade and department budget.
