Summary:
The Instructional Design Consultant provides educational expertise to systematically assess, design, develop, implement, and evaluate training and performance improvement for all levels of staff at Children's Health. The Instructional Design Consultant will apply fundamental research skills and a consultative approach to Instructional Design initiatives, and influence stakeholders by building consensus and gaining commitment to solutions.
Responsibilities:
Use ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation) and consulting best practices to deliver training solutions for standard and some high profile projects.
Lead multiple standard and some high profile projects, and collaborate with the design team to accomplish project goals and objectives. May, on occasion, facilitate learning events.
Uphold and apply general Instructional Design and quality control standards set by the Learning Institute leadership team.
Update and continuously improve knowledge, skills and attitude pertaining to Instructional Design and related fields. Coach Learning Institute teammates.
Monitor organizational changes and system/process updates; revise training programs to incorporate changes.
This is a full-time position.
How You’ll Be Successful:
WORK EXPERIENCE
3+ years Instructional Design experience (including full project life cycle or assessment, strategy, design, programming, testing, launch, and evaluation) Required
Experience working in e-Learning authoring tools and applications in the Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop and Illustrator, etc.) Required
EDUCATION
Four-year Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience Required
Graduate, professional work, advanced degree, MS or MA in instructional systems design or human performance technology or equivalent experience Preferred
LICENSES AND CERTIFICATIONS
CPLP (Certified Professional in Learning & Performance), CPT (Certified Performance Technologist), or other ISPI and ASTD Instructional Design certification Preferred
