We are seeking a talented and experienced Instructional Designer/Trainer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and delivering engaging customer support and other job training programs and materials that align with the organization's goals and objectives. The Instructional Designer/Trainer will work closely with subject matter experts to analyze training needs, identify learning objectives, and create effective learning solutions and playbooks to ensure new hires are properly onboarded to Shorr.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with subject matter experts to conduct needs assessments and identify training gaps.
- Design and develop engaging and interactive training programs and materials, including instructor-led training, e-learning modules, videos, job aids, and other resources.
- Utilize instructional design principles, adult learning theory, and best practices to create effective and learner-centered training solutions.
- Develop and maintain training content, ensuring accuracy, relevance, and compliance.
- Facilitate training sessions for new employees and other stakeholders, both in-person and virtually.
- Evaluate training effectiveness through assessments, surveys, and feedback mechanisms, and make recommendations for improvement.
- Stay current on emerging trends and technologies in instructional design and training delivery, and incorporate innovative approaches into training programs.
- Manage training projects from inception to completion, ensuring deadlines and objectives are met.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Instructional Design, Education, Training and Development, or a related field
- Proven experience in instructional design, curriculum development, and training delivery, preferably in a corporate setting.
- Strong knowledge of instructional design methodologies, adult learning principles, and learning technologies.
- Proficiency in e-learning authoring tools (e.g., Articulate Rise, Articulate, Storyline, Adobe Captivate) and learning management systems (LMS).
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office 365 (Teams, Outlook, PowerPoint and Word).
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex information in a clear and engaging manner.
- Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
- Creative problem-solving abilities and a passion for continuous learning and development.
